Sub-ohm vs MTL vape tanks
Sub-ohm (DTL) tanks run low-resistance mesh coils at higher wattage and give a looser, direct-to-lung draw with more vapour. They pair with box mods and freebase e-liquid in lower nicotine strengths. The SMOK TFV18, SMOK TFV9, FreeMaX FireLuke SOLO and VooPoo Uforce-X are sub-ohm tanks.
MTL tanks use higher-resistance coils and tighter airflow for a mouth-to-lung draw, closer to what a pod device delivers. They run at lower wattage and use less e-liquid.

Are vape tanks universal?
Most tanks use a 510 threaded connection, so they fit most box mods and 510 batteries. Coils are not universal - each tank takes its own coil family (SMOK TFV-series, FreeMaX, VooPoo PnP and so on), so check the coil type before ordering replacements.
What size vape tank should I get?
Tank capacity generally runs from about 2 mL up to 5-8 mL. A larger tank means fewer refills; a smaller one sits more compactly on the device. Capacity for each tank is listed on its product page.
Why is my vape tank leaking?
Leaking usually traces back to a flooded or worn coil, a coil that is over- or under-tightened, or filling past the max line. Replace the coil when flavour drops off, seat it finger-tight, keep e-liquid out of the centre airflow tube when filling, and store the device upright.
What is the difference between a tank, an atomizer and a clearomizer?
They refer to the same part. "Atomizer" and "clearomizer" are older terms for the assembly that holds e-liquid and houses the coil. Every tank on this page is a refillable tank atomizer.
